Cat’s Eyes: “Season 2 is even better than the first”… Camille Lou, Constance Labbé and Claire Romain talk about the highly anticipated sequel
During the filming of season 2 of Cat’s Eyes, the AlloCiné editorial team had the chance to meet Camille Lou, Constance Labbé and Claire Romain!
Season 2 of Cat’s Eyes is fast approaching! If you devoured the first season with as much avidity and passion as we did, you should know that the second season of the Chamade sisters’ adventures is currently filming.
This is an opportunity for the AlloCiné editorial team to meet Camille Lou (Tam), Constance Labbé (Sylia), and Claire Romain (Alexia) as they begin filming their first scenes at the Musée d’Orsay, which will be the setting for several scenes. And the least we can say is that it’s promising!
Between action, a love story, and stunts of all kinds, this new season should offer its share of twists and turns. So, how are the actresses feeling now that they’ve just started filming?
“We’re super happy. It’s so great! We’re getting ready to spend the night, so we’re putting ourselves in a state of awareness to keep going. We’re going to be on high gear until 6 a.m. It’s our first night at the Musée d’Orsay.”
The entire team is filming at night in this absolutely splendid location! A privilege our heroines are well aware of: “It’s completely crazy to be in a place that’s never open at night. We’re among the works, it’s pretty crazy, a bit like the Louvre last year,” reveals Camille Lou.
“Yeah, that’s what we were saying yesterday, it’s crazy, we get to be in incredible places and here we are, all alone, slaloming between the statues and everything, it’s crazy,” adds Claire Romain enthusiastically.
It remains to be seen what state of mind the Chamade sisters will be in when we meet them again after the events of the first season: “They’re very determined, I think. That doesn’t change. They’ll have grown too, each in their own way,” reveals the actress who long-time starred as Ambre in Here It All Begins.
Constance Labbé continues: “I think that when the season begins, they’re more united than at the beginning of the first season. Sisterhood is at its peak. Time has passed since the initial distance, and we’re very, very close now.”
“We have new characters coming into the picture, so it’s also interesting to adapt to other situations.” The actresses even revealed that season 2 has already become their favorite:
“Personally, I prefer this season. Season 2 is even better than the first; I really preferred it when I read it. It’s true that there’s more action and some really big twists and turns. There are ups and downs in each episode,” the actresses confide in unison.
Camille Lou then takes the opportunity to tease a new character named the Marquis: “He’s a new thief, played by Tom Leeb, who comes to stir up trouble everywhere, starting with the Chamade sisters’ business and Tam’s heart.”
As for stunts, the actresses have made a real change since the first season: “Personally, I let the stunt doubles do a lot more of the work. In the first season, I really wanted to do everything, and I realized that it’s a job, you know, you can’t do everything,” explains Camille Lou.
“We all hurt ourselves a little. Nothing serious, just scratches. But we were lucky. I took a nasty fall on the roof of the Monnaie de Paris. I hurt myself pretty bad,” says the actress, before Constance Labbé adds: “We were scared, but we were lucky not to hurt ourselves. Over five or six months, we really could have…”
“Afterwards, we continue to run a lot, we do that a lot, so it’s still physical for us,” concludes the actress who plays Tam, while Constance Labbé confides: “Personally, I hurt my thigh a little last week, and the challenge is to be careful.”
She continues: “When you’re being filmed, you tend to forget and go all out. That’s why it’s more sensible to use stunt doubles. You forget that you don’t really know how to do it.”
“As soon as it starts to roll, you forget that you haven’t warmed up properly and that you have to sprint, you have to run, you have to jump, and that’s when you hurt yourself a little.” Needless to say, we can’t wait to see season 2 of Cat’s Eyes, which will be broadcast very soon on TF1. In the meantime, the first season of the series is still available on TF1+!
